Journey planning
Where to check current fares and how to review the ticket products described by Delhi Metro before you enter a station.
Ticket products, purchase channels and fare information are operational details that can change. Rather than relying on a remembered fare or a third-party screenshot, use DMRC's current ticket and fare information before travelling. This guide explains what to check without reproducing a price list that may become outdated.
Use the fare information published by DMRC for the origin and destination you intend to travel between. Confirm the station names first; a similarly named station or a different interchange can change the route and fare.
Do not treat a fare shown in an old article, social post or saved image as current. Check the operator's live information close to travel and read any conditions shown for the selected ticket.
DMRC's official ticket page describes ticket media including smart cards, tourist cards, National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) and QR-code tickets. The terms and purchase or validation process can differ between products. Read the current operator guidance before selecting an option.
A ticket medium is not interchangeable merely because it is digital or stored on a card. Follow the instructions for the specific ticket you purchased, including any activation, entry or exit requirements.
Have the ticket or card ready when approaching the fare gate. Avoid stopping in the gate lane to search through a bag or phone. If a ticket does not scan or a gate does not open, step aside where possible and ask station staff for help rather than repeatedly trying to force the gate.
If your route, destination or travel time changes, check the operator's current service and fare information again. For a disruption or travel advisory, follow the notice issued by DMRC and the instructions displayed at the station. Seatzo is not a ticketing service and cannot confirm metro fares or ticket validity.
A Seatzo Connect Pass is a platform-use entitlement that unlocks one connection with a commuter who has listed a seat. It is not a Delhi Metro ticket, fare medium, smart card, QR ticket, NCMC, travel pass or proof of payment to the operator. It cannot be used at a fare gate and it does not pay for or validate a metro journey.
Your metro ticket or fare medium is a separate requirement. Buy or use the ticket option recognised by DMRC and follow its entry, exit and validation instructions. The Seatzo app should never be used as a substitute for the official fare system.
Seatzo is an independent commuter-coordination service. For its own connection rules, read How Seatzo Works and the Safety and Community Guidelines. DMRC signs, announcements and staff instructions always take priority during a journey.
